1964 Chevy II Nova

Sport Coupe hardtopBuilt pro-streetSouthern California

Bought in September 2026 and driven, not trailered: a 383 stroker with Gear Vendors overdrive, Heidts suspension at both ends, and a narrowed, mini-tubbed rear tucked under a stock-looking hardtop.

Loud or quietyour call

The Flowmaster exhaust has electric cutouts. Closed, it idles past the neighbors. Open, it's a 383 stroker with nothing in the way. Open is a recording of this car with the cutouts open. Closed is the same recording through a muffler model until it gets recorded closed.

Sound starts when you press the button, never on its own.

Planned: a double-tap on the Haptica Harmony ring opens them.

Why the overdrive matters

3.73 gears launch hard and buzz on the freeway. The Gear Vendors unit cuts the effective ratio to 2.91 when it's engaged. Slide the speed and see the difference.

Formula: mph × ratio × 336 ÷ tire diameter. Assumes the tire size you enter and no converter slip; a non-lockup TH350 will read a little higher on the tach.
